Matt Vega is the Chief of Staff at Sardine.ai, where he works closely with the founders to lead innovation across the industry in fraud prevention strategy, risk management, and cyberfraud. With over 16 years of hands-on experience in FraudTech, Modern Risk, Financial Technologies, Digital Marketplaces, and eCommerce, he is dedicated to building, implementing, and leading best-in-class strategies and products across the globe. As a quadruple-board certified industry expert in fraud strategy and cyber-fraud technology, Matt began his career in the early 2000s—a time he calls “the ultimate game of chess.” He spent thousands of hours infiltrating global fraud rings on the deep and dark web, learning their tradecraft from the inside. To hone his skills even further, he joined the U.S. Intelligence community and received the U.S. Government’s tier-one training in Signals Intelligence, Electronic Warfare, and Digital Network Intelligence. Today, he uses his unique skills, training, and experience to solve complex fraud and risk challenges with the founders of Sardine.ai to help nearly every industry, including technology companies, e-commerce platforms, digital marketplaces, card issuers, and Fortune 1,000 businesses globally.
